Elizabeth R Media Fund: Commonwealth Digital Challenge The Elizabeth R Media Fund is launching a new competition aimed at providing young and aspiring media managers from the Commonwealth with the skills and tools necessary to help their organisations face the digital challenges in their countries. The event will also act as a spur to the competitors to discuss the needs of a free and competitive media across the Commonwealth. The overall winner will be invited to spend a week’s intensive study of UK media organisations in London, with all expenses paid, during the week of the Commonwealth Summit in London in April, 2018.

First prize for the Judge’s and Editors’ Prize is £1000, second prize £300 and third prize £150. The six prize-winning poems will be published in Magma and there will also be five special mentions for the Judge’s Prize and for the Editors’ Prize. Winning and commended poets will be invited to read their poems at a Magma Competition Event in Spring 2018.

Each year, Fumetto – International Comix-Festival Lucerne holds a competition to give comic creators the opportunity to compare their work, present it to a broader public and to exchange views with others. The 2017 National Geographic Nature Photographer of the Year contest is now accepting submissions. National Geography is looking for spectacular pictures that tell the story of animals, lands, and environments around the world. From December 1-11, 2017, Their fans will vote for their favorite photos. Images with the most votes will be named the Peoples’ Choice winner.
